Hypnosis/Imagery Therapy

Hypnosis is a state of focused, concentrated attention which leads to increased openness to suggestion. Just as when a person is daydreaming, though aware of other activities going on, he or she is mentally off somewhere else in the imagination.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The individual is in complete control of his or her thoughts, feelings, decisions and actions. The hypnotherapist is a facilitator, guiding the individual with questions and offering suggestions that assist them in reaching goals and solutions. A person will not accept suggestions that are against his or her values or belief system.

Imagery is purposeful daydreaming or using the imagination at its best. It is something we use all the time, a natural way we think. All the senses are used to some degree. For instance, some people can see images, others can hear sounds, smell fragrances, or feel what it's like to be in an enjoyable place in the imagination. Most adults imagine 'what if' scenarios when making decisions.

Interactive Guided Imagery(sm) is a one-on-one experience, in which the client and hypnotherapist explore the client's inner world of thoughts and feelings through imagery, to realize insights and identify solutions toward achieving goals for healing and personal growth.

Clinical Hypnosis is used in the area of health and medicine to enhance wellness in body/mind and spirit.
